Complete with an update to the VMware Horizon View client software, a critical security patch and several other key improvements, the latest releases of NoTouch OS and NoTouch Center are now available for download.
NoTouch OS 2.40.497 includes the latest VMware Horizon View Client 4.0 and support for TeamViewer 11. The update to the NoTouch “Cathedral Peak” generation also includes a patch for the critical Flash security flaw identified by Adobe earlier today. With a constantly vigilant eye on our customers’ security, Stratodesk’s engineers were able to integrate the security patch and provide an updated software release less than 6 hours after the flaw was first identified, which is uncommonly fast for industry standards.
Other improvements in this release include an update to Firefox 45.0, an updated Parallels RAS (formerly 2X) client to 15.0 and screenlocker improvements for VMware Horizon View. For FreeRDP users, NoTouch OS now supports FreeRDP 1.2 as the default version, based on the fact that FreeRDP 1.2 has matured over time. It is important to note, however, that both FreeRDP 1.0 and 1.1 continue to be part of NoTouch to certify downward compatibility with older installations. Finally, NoTouch OS 2.40.497 features a maintenance update to the system core to ensure seamless future compatibility with newer Ethernet cards.
Along with the client software update comes an update to NoTouch Center, now at 4.2.93, which includes several minor improvements and all the new parameters of the new OS version.
