Press Release: Stratodesk and ThinClient Direct Partner to Redefine Cloud Workspace Endpoints — Learn more

NoTouch OS 2.39.323 and NoTouch Center 4.1.326 Released

The whole NoTouch platform got an update this April: Stratodesk has provided updates for both NoTouch Center and NoTouch OS, as an update to the “Mineral King” product generation and leading the way to another major update due in summer.

NoTouch OS 2.39.323 updates several components and comes with an improved battery state warning indicator: It is now possible to state different threshold and actions for each threshold, such as audible and visible alerts; and this works even when full-screen VDI sessions cover all of the local screen real estate. Among the updated components are FreeRDP (the 1.2 build), Firefox, vWorkspace client and the Dropbear SSH server. Also, a new OS image class based on Linux Kernel 3.16 was introduced – the K316 edition, you will notice the -k316- image names.

NoTouch Center has undergone major changes under the hood. It builds now on Java 7 or Java 8 exclusively, the database connection layers have been exchanged and the servlet container Jetty has been updated to Jetty 9.2. As it leads the way to an all-new product generation, it changes several legacy items: In new installations there will not be a _tcstartup any more, only existing installations with settings in there will still see it. Also, the usability was improved in many areas.

Both components together implement Stratodesk new security enhanced MKey-mechanism that protects from identity theft on a machine basis. By default, MKey is activated in an opportunistic way, i.e. it will not interfere with older machines.

As always, this update is available free of charge to all subscribed customers. Please visit www.stratodesk.com/login to download. If you have any questions or concerns on how to update to this release, please contact our tech support team at [email protected].
