Stratodesk Corporation – Privacy Policy for www.stratodesk.com
Last Revised: May 24, 2018

General Statement

Stratodesk respects the privacy of our customers, partners and employees. We recognize the need for appropriate protections and management of your personal information that you provide to us. Therefore, our Privacy Policy will help you in understanding what information we collect and how that information is used. Needless to say, we are in full compliance with the strict EU GDPR laws.

Revisions to this Privacy Statement

Stratodesk may change this privacy statement from time to time in its sole discretion and will post revised versions to this web page. We recommend that you check this page from time to time to ensure you are aware of any changes to our privacy statement.

As the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into full effect, we have made necessary changes in order to ensure compliance.

Information Collection

Stratodesk only stores what is necessary for users to interact with our site and stay up-to-date with our services. Our data process is designed from start to finish to be compliant with GDPR laws.

To maintain and improve site quality and integrity, to detect and defend against cyber-attacks, IP addresses are logged (the Internet Protocol addresses of computers). This log is a standard method of reporting to statistically find out which parts of our web site are visited and how long visitors spend there. We also log the type of browser and operating system you are using, as well as an referring web page (HTTP referer), if that information is available.

The Stratodesk web site may use a standard technology called a “cookie” to collect information about how you use the site. We use cookies to enhance your visit to our website. A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from our server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Your browser has an option to accept, reject or provide you with a notice when a cookie is sent. Once you enter the website, a cookie follows you as you navigate the website, collecting information including internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp and number of clicks. This information is used to analyze trends, administer the website, track users’ overall movements, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use only, to help us understand what users are seeking on our website and to provide you with customizable and personalized services. These cookies do not allow for personal identification. For more information about this use of cookies and how this is used on this website, please read the appropriate section below about “Google Analytics”. Stratodesk may also uses cookies to remember your location and preferences so that you do not have to re-enter them when you return to our website, which again does not allow for personal identification.

Our customer portal “My Stratodesk” uses cookies (“essential cookies”) for log in and session handling. This is a standard technology. These cookies are necessary for providing a secure experience; these cookies are not linked to the aforementioned analytical cookies.

At times we may request that you voluntarily supply us with personal information, such as your e-mail address, for purposes such as corresponding with us, registering at a site, making a purchase, entering a sweepstakes, registering a new product, or participating in an online survey. We may link IP addresses to personally identifiable information.

Information Use

When you supply Stratodesk with your personal information, we only use to the absolute minimal extent to fulfill your request. For example, if you ask a question, we will get back to you to the email address supplied, and we will politely address you with the name you provided. We will not share your information with third parties; any subcontractors (“data processors”) must show compliance with GDPR laws to be able to get into a business relationship with us. We do not store more data than necessary.

Content Distribution Network

To facilitate a low-latency browsing and fast download experience we use services by third party Content Distribution Network providers, such as – but not restricted to – CloudFlare, Inc. and Amazon Web Services, Inc. These third party providers may keep log files beyond our control and reach, but are certainly bound to the GDPR laws.

Google Analytics

We use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about use of this site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve this site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Although Google Analytics plants a permanent cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit this site, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy. You can prevent Google Analytics from recognizing you on return visits to this site by disabling cookies on your browser.

Live Chat

We may use a tool called “PureChat” to allow visitors directly (“live”) chat with us. For doing so, content is loaded from PureChat’s server and log data as well as cookies are created. Please review the PureChat Privacy Policy for more information.

Declining E-mail Communications

Most customers tell us they appreciate receiving notice of events and updates from Stratodesk, however, we recognize the importance of providing you with choices. At any time after receiving an e-mail from Stratodesk, you may request to discontinue receiving these emails. All e-mail offers that you receive from Stratodesk will tell you how to decline further e-mail. Our partners may have different policies.

Links to other Sites

This website may contain links to other websites that are operated by third parties. This privacy policy does not apply to your use of these third-party websites. We strongly recommend that you review the privacy policy of each website that you access prior to providing any personally identifiable information to make sure you understand what data is collected and how such data is used by such third parties. Stratodesk is not responsible for the content or privacy policies or practices of such websites and has no control over information that is submitted to or collected by these third parties.

Children

Stratodesk does not seek to collect personal information about children through this website. If we become aware that a person submitting personal information to us is under 18 years of age, we delete the information as soon as we discover it and do not use it or disclose it to third parties.
