The new partnership streamlines technical support and enables seamless NoTouch license transfer between devices.
SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) JULY 01, 2020
Stratodesk today announced a massive new achievement – for the first time ever, Stratodesk NoTouch OS is available on NComputing devices. Thanks to fantastic new growth and stellar adoption of the NoTouch OS based NComputing device, both NComputing and Stratodesk have formed a new partnership that will make the full Stratodesk NoTouch OS branded image available on NComputing RX420-HDX devices. Enterprises around the world now not only benefit from the affordability and power of the Raspberry Pi based thin client, they also benefit from total flexibility and control over their entire fleet of NoTouch endpoints, able to effortlessly transfer licenses between NComputing devices and all others. The full availability of NoTouch OS on NComputing devices also means one more important benefit for enterprises and businesses using RX420-HDX — they now have access to unrivaled Stratodesk customer support. Beginning July 1, 2020, RX420-HDX devices will be available with Stratodesk NoTouch OS.
“IT leaders around the world rely on and trust the Stratodesk brand. Stratodesk software powers these devices. Our new partnership with NComputing puts the full weight of that brand behind the OS on these devices”, says Stratodesk CEO and Founder, Emanuel Pirker. “Since the inception of the workspace hub project, we’ve seen massive adoption of the Raspberry Pi in production deployments. Enterprises and organizations around the world are choosing Stratodesk software to power their complex deployments of both x86 and Raspberry Pi devices. The decision to make our Stratodesk branded image available on NComputing devices comes from our position in the industry as the de facto leader of VDI, Cloud and IoT endpoint management. Doing so will only help to increase further customer adoption.”
“Citrix Workspace Hub based on RX420-HDX device is made possible by our close collaboration with Stratodesk and Citrix, backed by NComputing’s 15 years of excellence in the thin client market,” says Young Song, CEO of NComputing. “By working as an Independent Hardware Vendor with software powered by Stratodesk, customers benefit with license flexibility, stream-lined support and innovative solutions to further accelerate the market adoption of Citrix Ready Workspace Hub. This aligns with our mission to provide affordable and powerful thin client solutions to enterprise customers.”
Originally developed as part of the Citrix Ready workspace hub project, the Stratodesk NoTouch OS/Raspberry Pi thin client story has grown beyond that scope due to excellent customer adoption. Stratodesk was the original pioneer of the enterprise grade, Raspberry Pi Thin Client. To-day, it is used by enterprises around the world to deliver seamless user experience affordably and securely. The Raspberry Pi-based NComputing device powered by Stratodesk is the legacy of the workspace hub project, and as such is fully compatible with Citrix Workspace, as well as Citrix Casting and Proximity Authentication features.
The new partnership also comes backed by more than a simple rebranding: enterprises using Stratodesk software on NComputing devices have access to the world-class Stratodesk sup-port. Thanks to Stratodesk’s record-breaking growth, it has become more effective for the EUC leader to handle all IT support case escalations in-house.
“Stratodesk customers benefit from a truly hardware agnostic software-based solution” says Stratodesk VP of Sales, Hernan Contreras. “Any device, any VDI or Cloud solution. Stratodesk software comes pre-bundled on many cutting edge thin clients alongside the NComputing RX420-HDX, including devices from HP and LG. Although NoTouch comes pre-bundled, however, that doesn’t take away from the unparalleled flexibility NoTouch OS has to offer. NoTouch costumes can easily add NComputing thin clients to their deployments and still maintain full control of transferring licenses among their fleet however they wish.”
Indeed, both NComputing customers and Stratodesk customers will benefit from this increased flexibility. IT leaders can seamlessly transfer licenses across Stratodesk powered Raspberry Pi Thin Clients and all other existing devices. NComputing devices can now be as easily integrated into NoTouch deployments as any other cutting edge hardware device. This makes the RX420-HDX a perfect addition to any deployment that could benefit from the unparalleled scalability options of a lightweight, affordable thin client alternative.
All future updates will be available via the Stratodesk portal to NoTouch customers with current update subscriptions https://www.stratodesk.com/portal/.
