What is a Stratodesk Device? Endpoints running Stratodesk NoTouch OS are found everywhere – in hospitals, in the financial sector, in stores, in enterprise settings, in government institutions, and in college classrooms. But what exactly is a Stratodesk or NoTouch device? The application of Stratodesk software is indeed broad. It can be used to solve challenges in mixed VDI/DaaS scenarios, as well as to handle deployments with mixed endpoints. What is a Stratodesk Device?
First and foremost, Stratodesk devices are Linux-based. This means no more Windows. Instead of running and maintaining Windows on every single endpoint, Stratodesk lets you access your virtual desktops via NoTouch OS. NoTouch OS, the secure Linux-based operating system, runs on any device bare metal, effectively wiping the underlying OS away. It can also run side-by-side with Windows to enable work from home or personal devices. Many devices, such as All-in-One Monitors from LG, or HP Thin Clients, for example, come with Stratodesk NoTouch directly out of the box.
A Stratodesk Endpoint is Secure

Our software prevents common security threats without the need for extended malware/antivirus contracts. Furthermore, our administration solution, NoTouch Center, enables IT managers and system administrators to manage all of their Stratodesk endpoints from one location. NoTouch Center uses highly secure communication protocols to communicate between devices. Lastly, we offer an additional Disk Encryption for more specific use cases.
