2019. What an amazing year. Stratodesk broke incredible new ground, establishing new offices, making new partnerships with companies like Liquidware, Teradici and beyond, and more than doubling our team in size. The growth resulting from our team’s work marks a huge success. But even more incredible has been the success our customers have had using our software.
Everyday, our customers around the world are able to use Stratodesk software to power their diverse fleet of endpoint devices. By automating endpoint management, IT professionals are able to spend less time on boring, redundant IT tasks and more time at home for the holidays, making memories with their loved ones and families.
With that said, this year, more than anything, was the year of the customer. Here are a few of our best moments from 2019.
Starting with Citrix Summit 2019
Citrix Summit 2020 is right around the corner. You can sign-up for live, in-person meetings with our team of knowledgeable tech professionals thanks to the Sponsor Connect Program. Last year, we had big news come out right around Citrix Summit. This included the innovative ThinPrint Hub from our good friends at ThinPrint. The ThinPrint Hub is an IoT workspace device that is part of the Stratodesk NoTouch IoT ecosystem. Combined with next-generation devices like the ThinPrint Hub and beyond, Stratodesk software has done what before was thought impossible – converging advanced IoT and VDI technologies.

Each year we exhibit at HIMSS, sharing how healthcare IT benefits from using Stratodesk software to deliver secure virtual apps and data to healthcare providers, no matter where they are. Stratodesk Works with Citrix and ViewSonic to Lead Gaston County into the Future of Work
You’ve probably heard about the Citrix Ready workspace hub – the next generation endpoint OS for the modern workplace. Gaston County successfully leverages the Citrix Ready workspace hub to put their secure digital perimeter into hyper-drive. Stratodesk was excited to announce this customer success not only because Gaston County uses Stratodesk NoTouch Center to manage their entire VDI deployment, but because of the joint success with our partners, ViewSonic and Citrix.
LGL Recycling Saw Similar Success
In a joint story about our success with Citrix and NComputing, we shared how the Citrix Ready workspace hub, combined with Stratodesk software, makes it easy for LGL to deploy Citrix Ready workspace hub at remote locations. By just making a single firewall rule, workspace hubs can be easily connected to the LGL corporate network.
IoT Predictions for 2020
Stratodesk CEO and Founder, Emanuel Pirker, predicted that IoT workspaces would become mainstream in 2019. This year, Stratodesk Sales Engineer, Richard Severson, predicted that IoT would go beyond the workplace and become commonplace in industrial settings. Stratodesk First to Debut VDI Integration with Nvidia Jetson Nano at Citrix Synergy 2019
Citrix Synergy was an amazing show for us. And accompanying the show was breaking news including Stratodesk software on the Nvidia Jetson Nano, new integrations with LG Electronics and the formal announcement of the Liquidware Stratusphere UX integration with Stratodesk. It was a record show for us, showing how central to the Citrix partner ecosystem Stratodesk is.
VMworld 2019
No “best of” list would be complete without mentioning VMworld 2019. Stratodesk’s team from home and abroad coalesced in our hometown of San Francisco for an incredible show, and an incredible time. We taught attendees about Stratodesk software, how we solve complex challenges facing the future of work, and so much more. Perhaps most importantly, those who visited our booth had a smashing time.
.NEXT (US and Europe)
Stratodesk was also at .NEXT in the US and EU. We sponsored the event, had a booth at both shows, and educated customers on the unique Stratodesk and Nutanix relationship that provides top-tier end user computing in Xi Frame deployments.
Our Team Continues to Grow
Our team continues to expand even as our customer base grows, and the demand for Stratodesk software intensifies world-wide. We added too many great new team members this year to mention all of them. But you can find employee highlights on most of our new hires on our website.
Customer Success – Near and Dear to Our Hearts
Above and beyond everything else we achieved as a company this year, if we had to highlight one consistent theme in 2019, that would be customer success. We were lucky enough to be able to document some of these successes. Success stories, for example, from Sidel, Evreux Portes de Normandie, LGL Recycling, Gaston County, just to name a few, can be viewed in-depth via the resources section of our website. They are just a handful of the many success our customers have had using our software.
One story that stands out in particular, however, is with the longest lasting Stratodesk software user in existence. This company, Travel Europe, has been a Stratodesk customer for more than 15 years! You can read more about their tremendous story in this article.
Stratodesk Software Continues to Drive Innovation
With too many new features, developments, improvements and innovations to dive into here, 2019 saw incredible advancements made in Stratodesk software. We’ve mentioned the Nvidia Jetson Nano, but we had many, many new software versions available throughout the year, complete with the latest clients from Citrix and VMware and other leading VDI/DaaS solution providers. We released many new features of our own, announced day one support for the Raspberry Pi 4, and also teased you with the announcement of the soon to be released, groundbreaking new software release “Velma Lakes.”
